Mission

The mission of the PREP Initiative is to enhance the levels of awareness, resilience, and preparedness of people, their homes, neighborhoods, and their workplaces for any hazard that is likely to impact the Madison, Wisconsin Region.


Goals and Objectives

Goal 1: Enhance the level of preparedness of Madison area residents and businesses

Objective 1: Enhance the awareness of the community about the need for preparedness
Objective 2: Augment the understanding of the meaning of preparedness
Objective 3: Improve the understanding of why preparedness is important
Objective 4: Determine if the level of preparedness has improved

Goal 2: Identify the current level of preparedness of Madison residents and businesses

Objective 1: Develop an instrument to assess the level of preparedness
Objective 2: Administer and analyze the information collected using the tool
Objective 3: Inform the community about the current level of preparedness
